Ok I need your help (ladies in particular)- are there any other vintage loving pumpers out there? I am in the process of changing from MDI (multiple daily injections) to a pump (it seems to be a long and laborious process which is oh so frustrating).
But while I have been waiting for everything to align for me, I got to wondering - where am I going to wear the pump?
I hear lot of ladies say in they wear it attached to their bra – ok that’s great but what happens if you tend to wear tight fitting tops? On a garter you say? But what if you wear a tight pencil skirt? I’m also a dancer (socially not professionally) and my husband and I lend more towards the very fast Rockabilly jiving songs – so if I wear the pump on garter – is it going to stay up? Or will it tend to slip down?
In winter I wear foundation garments too – girdles, long line bras – and sometimes by the end of the day these undergarments can dig in to you in the most unfortunate and uncomfortable of places (and let’s not forget those boned dresses we wear too) – is the cannula going to dig in and irritate me? – Where does the pump go in these situations?
I know there is a whole raft of accessories out there on the internet – but really why they might work for some people – they are not for me – the only one that is coming close to my sensibilities is one I stumbled across on etsy called Medifashion who sell a garter type thing – has anyone had any experience with these?
Any advice/help would be most welcome.
